Imagine…No Abortion

I can only imagine, truly imagine if this much outcry and emotion to oppose a political figure was directed towards ending the killing of hundreds of thousands of babies per year. Imagine this much effort and the consolidation of a nation towards ending the horrible practice in the violation of the most basic civil rights bestowed unto mankind: The God given right of LIFE!

Psalms 106:37-38

They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to false gods. They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was desecrated by their blood.

Imagine this fact: With the exception of China with her immeasurable statistics on this evil practice, the United States has shed more blood of the most innocent than any other developed nation in the world.  We have aborted far more babies than any other country, far more than even those who have completely legalized the evil practice of abortion.  We are so good and efficient in the abortion business, that we have a government-sponsored industry that is dedicated to furthering this practice.  So good and efficient at aborting babies, that during the violent process of abortion, professionals boast about saving certain body part from destruction to meet market demands for various body parts, and making a profit from the sales.  So efficient is this industry, it succeeded in making the choice to abort an easy and available service for all who so desire.  So efficient, many of their executives and medical directors are making six figure salaries.  Yes, they do boast about their successes!

Just imagine the heart of Christ, and how He grieves as He looks over at His beloved children being sacrificed for no other reason than a “choice”.  Imagine our Lord’s heart as He looks and realizes that His church is silent and is just standing by and watching this happening  over and over.  But even more so, just imagine our Lord seeing that His Church is not just silent anymore, but that the Church is now in support of this practice and openly promotes  those who champion this evil ruling of Roe v. Wade. Just imagine!!

Just take a moment and imagine, why would our Lord remain unresponsive to such unchecked evil in the destruction of His most beloved creation?  Why would we imagine it’s all good with the Lord, to live a life so callously, that we view abortion as a safety valve, or just another choice?

How can I imagine otherwise, when these same people who are so willing to ignore or support the killing of hundreds of thousands try to convince me that they care about LIFE and Civil Rights. If we do care about LIFE, why do we support or ignore the greatest civil rights violation known to the modem world? The practice of #abortion.

Just take a moment and imagine, if you will, why would our Lord remain unresponsive to such unchecked evil in the  systematic destruction of His most beloved.  Why would we think that the Lord trumps our secular  circumstances over the LIFE of any of His beloved?

Stop and imagine the reality of these words written in the Scriptures:

Psalm 139:13-14

For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.

Now imagine that the above passage of Scripture applies to every single person ever conceived, including the 50 million plus, who were aborted since Roe V. Wade.  Imagine the audacity of our thinking, that we have the right to destroy, by our choice, any of the ‘fearfully and wonderfully made’ people, who God created to praise Him.

Imagine the true and genuine love we would express as a nation, if we were to place all that effort in ending this tragedy, the same level of energy and passion we displayed in our passion to remove a statue we deem racist.  Our passion could move this country from ProChoice stance to one that chooses Life.

Some say that racism is an undeniable reality in the American cultural fabric, it’s a part of our DNA.  It makes me imagine and ask the question: is infanticide an undeniable reality in the American cultural fabric?  Is it now a part of our DNA?  The answer? I don’t know.  But this I do know: in this present day, I can only imagine, and dream of, and pray for a world without abortion.
