To add to the above article, racism and slavery was not an institution of Christianity. It was mandated by the states and racist men to serve their own economic purpose and status. Look back at the Civil Rights marches and see who were amongst the crowds championing freedom. It was the Church! If Mr. President wants to champion a cause to protect the right of the innocent, this is my prayer for him: We as a nation is still denying the right of the most innocent among us. We are aborting hundreds of thousands of innocent lives every year. Planned Parenthood practices are a direct link to these racist policies that these states enacted to undermine minorities. Abortion was the deadliest of their plan, yet we choose to not only support the practice, the state made it legal and a right.
Hello to my fellow Civil Rights leaders, how can we continue to say we are for civil rights, while ignoring or supporting this tragedy? The other tragedy is how so many Christian Americans, especially African Americans, are accepting the rhetoric because it is, well, “the first black president” who said it.
As Christians we have to remain in continuous prayer for our country. Remember, not because we are of a particular party, support a particular person, means that we have to accept or support everything that they do. Nothing can replace the word and commands of God as made known to us in the scriptures. Stand for Christ, and oppose all that is contrary to His teachings, even if it is the law of the state.
